I’ve become a bit rug obsessed after my trip to Morocco, and I think a trip back with a few (or many) empty suitcases will cure this problem. Until then I am relying on beautiful images via the internet. In this obsession is where I came across the fantastic wool rug artist, Alexandra Kehayoglou. She is from Argentina, but her family immigrated there from Greece. Alexandra learned her craft from her grandparents who were carpet makers. Her realistic landscapes and designs are stunning as rugs, but I think it is her technique of using different lengths of the wool to create more texture within the piece that makes her work stand out. You can find many more images on her Instagram feed. Enjoy!
